One of the mysteries of Django Unchained is a character played by Zoe Bell. She wore a red bandana and appeared to be important because we were constantly shown reaction shots from her. We were apparently supposed to know her better but it wasn’t to be.

Bell spoke to E! Online and explained the character and some of her backstory.
“There was backstory and there was to be a fight sequence. I don’t know how much Quentin wants me to say, but yes, there was originally more than that. But I guess when you’re getting such brilliant shit with Leo [DiCaprio] and Jamie [Foxx] and Christoph [Waltz], you just keep shooting and time kind of got crunchy.”
OK well, she doesn’t reveal much of her backstory. But she’s a bad ass with a secret under that mask.
“Yes and there was a little sneaky secret under the mask. Part of my face was missing.”
And now this subject is banished to the annals of Quentin Tarantino history, much like what the hell was in that briefcase in Pulp Fiction. Really, what do you think was in that briefcase? Bell is a Tarantino regular, by the way. She played Uma Thurman’s stunt double in Kill Bill and was in his Grindhouse segment Death Proof.
